Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW) provides comprehensive reproductive health and sexuality in the classroom throughout the year, but they know that teens get a lot of their information on the internet.
Unfortunately, much of the information teens find could be incorrect, leading to unsafe and dangerous sexual health decisions. The PPPSW Community Engagement Department recently started filming short videos on important sexual health topics for teens in order to meet teens where they are at - online.
In their latest video, they addressed three top myths they regularly hear from high schoolers:
- Everyone in high school is having sex.
- Birth Control doesn’t work.
- I would know if my partner had an STI.
Watch this video to find out the facts on these common teen myths! Stay tuned for more videos coming up in PPPSW's educator series!
