For nearly six years Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest has offered health information and education in the Imperial community. Residents kept asking when Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest was going to open a health center in their community. On Wednesday, May 6, 2015 it became a reality when staff began offering life-saving cervical and breast cancer screenings, contraceptive services, STD testing and treatment in a new 8,500 square foot center.
When the health center is operating at maximum capacity, it hopes to provide health care to close to 20,000 patients each year.
