What has L.A. Been Doing to Defeat Federal Attacks on Family Planning and Planned Parenthood? LOTS!
Over the past three months, we have experienced an incredible outpouring of support from the Los Angeles community. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, we have worked tirelessly to make sure that our patients do not lose access to the very basic health services they rely on us for. This report contains just a small portion of the work that has been done these last few weeks-- thank you to everyone who has called, rallied, and written in support of reproductive health care! - Held 15 phone banks, resulting in nearly 2,000 calls generated to key legislative offices
- Organized press conferences with our local champions in elected offices at Federal, State, and Local levels (see footage below!)
- Rallied outside the office of Senator Barbara Boxer
- Published multiple letters to the editor and OpEds-- check out some samples in the Daily Bruin, Daily News, and the Los Angeles Times
- Earned media coverage in a range of outlets, including ABC, FOX News, Korean News Daily, La Opinion, Telemundo, and more.
